Updates and News

MAY 24, 2019 - It has been a long time and so much has happened since I last updated this site. I have put nearly all of my dollmaking on hold for the foreseeable future as I am now employed full time with a wonderful craft store here in Washington. In a few weeks, I will be taking over as the “Hard Crafts” head of department which will take up much of my time. (Hard Crafts refers to the department that carries all of the fine arts and craft component products.)

I have several Bea’s Teeth, a few Sweaterbots, a couple Little Beatsts, and a small selection of dolls available for purchase (click the ‘Shop’ link above), but I will no longer take custom orders. I will add toys to the shop as I am able and willing to make them. I’m sorry for any disappointment this may cause.

The main reason I have had to stop working on dolls is the issue of portability. I like to work on creative things during my breaks and lunches at the craft store but the breakroom is small and my dollmaking cart is large. This makes it very inconvenient for my coworkers.

I am still creating art, however! I have recently rediscovered and fallen in love with watercolor and colored pencil. These mediums are extremely portable and I can work on pieces anywhere without causing issue with those around me. You can find my portfolio by following the ‘Fine Art’ link above. If you like my art, I will be making prints available as soon as I can.

Thank you for following and supporting me all these years!

FEBRUARY 4, 2017 - I am currently trying to get back into full time doll making as I've been distraught over the current state of our nation under the new presidential administration. It's difficult to want to make something as simple as dolls when so many big things are going on in the world. I hope to have some more things completed soon.

We stand in solidarity with all the people being affected by the hate-speech going on in the country right now. We are all humans. That's what matters most.

NOVEMBER 12, 2016 - We will be at the Fisher's Grange Handmade Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 19, 2016.  Click our Shop link for details.

Our online shop will re-open on Monday, November 21st, 2016!

OCTOBER 7, 2016 - Little Bea Imaginings has the best clients, fans and friends. So far, you have donated over $300 for the funeral services for my son's dad. We still have a long way to go but every time a donation comes in from one of you, my heart just swells. It never ceases to amaze me when strangers are so willing to help.

It's been such a crazy week but I am making a list of ideas for some sort of "thank you" to those of you who have made large donations. I am also planning to auction off a couple of older dolls in the next few days to assist with the fundraising so please keep checking back.

Please consider donating even a couple dollars. If every one of the 1,762 people who like this page donated a few dollars, we would reach our goal very quickly.

Thank you all so very much!

OCTOBER 5, 2016 - Good morning everyone. Some of you know that on October 4th, 2016, my oldest son, Forrest, lost his dad, Ronnie Furse, to an overdose. Ronnie's family just lost his little brother, Cory, less than a year ago. The family doesn't have a lot of money and two deaths in under a year is more than any family can handle. At my son's request, I have created a gofundme page to help them cover the costs of the funeral services.

Please help in any way you can because every dollar counts. As a thank you, any donation of $20 or more will receive a 30% discount on any ready-to-ship item in my shop when it opens up again next month. (Custom orders excluded.)
